Very creepy, very true to life, very A.C.

Sometimes you get to the end of a well written mystery and cry "foul!" I had one huge issue with a sudden character change and it ruined the book for me. However, I enjoyed reading the book up to and even after that unfortunate part but if it had been anyone other than Agatha Christie I would probably have given a much lower review.

I picked this one because it was Agatha's personal favorite.

3.75 stars!

Why am I not surprised of the fact that I enjoyed this book. Even though her books and who the culprits are can be predictable, but the way of telling the stories and the executions are too good!

I haven’t read an Agatha Christie book in a (long) while and it’s the perfect time to do so. Plus this is one of her favorite books that she has written, which is making me more eager to read this.
dark mysterious medium-paced

An interesting read with a bit of a red herring. No detectives in this one, just some a plain old reveal at the end.

This is an excellent standalone story. As dark and devious as some of her others, yet also a love story. It’s a peculiar blend that makes it so hard to anticipate and figure out just where the plot is going! But, if you’ve read enough of her work you know it’s not going to be a happily ever after.
