I would read Agatha Christie’s grocery list, but I think I’ll stick to her Hercule Poirot mysteries for now. I read this for a buddy read with @heathersquiethour and @taherasplace. “Endless Night” is a standalone novel about Mike and Ellie, and the home they intend to make on the cursed Gypsie’s Acre. I was engaged by the writing, but the plot of “Endless Night” felt all over the place. The pacing of the narration felt off in comparison to her other books I’ve read, and altogether I was disappointed by this read. If you’re a die-hard Christie fan you might enjoy this one, but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it.

um dos livros mais diferentes da agatha, com a atmosfera crescente de suspense, um temor agonizante. acho que, assim como todos os personagens, nós também já sabíamos o final. é que, também, não aceitavamos.

I love this woman. I always knew of Agatha Christie to have great timeless mysteries, but I genuinely believe that she is also the mother of the modern thriller. I admit that this book starts off really slowly but it reads like a nice gothic romance novel, and then escalates so quickly in the last 50 pages leaving me to literally close the book and take a breather. I give this book 4.5 ⭐️ but since she surprised me so much once again I just have to round up.
