This is the only Agatha Christie I've read that I genuinely wouldn't recommend. It reads like a failed homage to Shirley Jackson.

3.75 stars because my dumb goldfish brain absolutely refused to concentrate on the middle. it was. so boring.
also, i kinda sorta guessed the ending. a bit.

What an engaging story! It hooked me immediately and completely fooled me at the end. The story seemed like a Hitchcock movie...kind of slow but not boring, a cast of mysterious people, a picturesque setting, and then a wonderful twist at the end.
