I listened to an ALC from @Libro.fm for this book. It was a quick summer romance for upper high school students (juniors/seniors). I liked the food content but I had a hard time suspending disbelief for the over the top feuding family conflict and also why Miguel would even bother after how much Amy was not a great friend or girlfriend. Over all, this was fine but not outstanding--I have a few other in the food romance genre that I think worked better.

I thought this was a food themed mystery but it’s just a food themed romance. So meh. Very Romeo and Juliet esque. It’s fine as a light read but doesn’t offer much besides distraction.
