I just wish there was more plot. My mind drifted while listening to this and I missed absolutely nothing from the story. For a book so short, it just gives NOTHING. The vibes are interesting. The diversity in the character is interesting. It does a great job painting the idea of being a half human, half vampire, and not knowing your place in the world to her mixed heritage from her parents. I think it would have been sad but more interesting to dive into her relationship with her mother. This story with Ben was hella bland and not needed tbh. I really don't understand how someone sees this as 5 star material. This just did not give. I'm going to forget I read it in just 2 weeks probably.

I actually kinda enjoyed this on a vibe level
I'm so fucking glad she killed gideion by the end of the story it felt like a good way to finish. I was worried that when ppl were saying nothing happened that there was literally no climax but i was glad that was the ending.

After reading so many mediocre books recently, my reaction to Women, Eating was (ironically) "finally, some good f food"

The concept of the book is really interesting but the book feels so underworked. Like you're reading a rough draft. Most of the feelings and concepts of the book are spelt out with no literary artistry. A perfect example of telling rather than showing.  I was interested in the story but never invested
I just kept waiting for her to kill Ben
