Eh.. I get the eventual tie in to the rest of the family but this couple came out of nowhere and I just wanted to get to the end where they linked up with the main characters.

Doing a reread of the series after so long, and seeing I have no review for this book pains me so here we go:

It’s sad, but I really don’t think this book gets enough credit. This is only my second time reading it, and even I didn’t remember anything past the basic plot concept, but I really enjoy this one, right up there with Bound by Temptation and Honor. It’s a step away from the books we’ve seen so far, to introduce Cora’s spin-off series by featuring the Cammora leader’s main soldier, Growl, and the rich girl, Cara, who was gifted to him. Being the monster he is, it was supposed to be punishment to her family.

There needs to be more characters like Growl. The misunderstood ones. Growl was raised to be a mindless killer, so that’s what people see him as and nothing more. With Cara, she sees humanity in him and brings this to light. Even with the situation, he sees himself lowly in comparison leading this book to filled with so much angst, my chest ached.

I’m happy they have a feature in the Anthology, because I really do need more of these two, or more that people need more of them. Maybe it’ll feature the wedding.

I don’t know…maybe 3.25? I really like the setting of Cara & Growl, but I don’t think the author handled them very well. This story was supposed to be longer, especially the relationship development between them should be more detailed. I mean…he’s a brutal monster who didn’t even know what love was and wasn’t able to realize and handle his emotions, but somehow, after 100 pages, he even was capable of expressing his love? Come on, they just had some conversations. Also, the grammar errors annoyed me a little bit. However, I still love Cara and Growl and the whole series.

I LOVE WHEN THE WOMAN IN THE BOOK TURNS THE MONSTER INTO A GOOD/LOVING GUY WHO IS CAPABLE OF LOVE, ITS 1 OF THE BEST TROPES EVER, argue with the wall Idc. LIKE BROOO HE WAS SO CUTE, SHE WAS GIVEN TO HIM AS A GIFT AS THE GUY (HIS BOSS) WHO GAVE HER TO HIM THOUGHT HE WOULD PUNISH HER BUT INSTEAD HE TREATED HER WITH SO MUCH LOVE AND CARE.. IT WAS HONESTLY ADORABLE I CANT EVEN EXPLAIN IT, HE TREATED HER AS IF SHE WAS HIS MOST PRICED POSSESSION. ALSO I MIGHT HATE DOGS BUT THE MMC DOGS WERE SO
