Great combination of science fiction and romance. If your tired of the typical Nicholas Sparks romance novels, this story has a special twist that would leave you breathless at the end. I had a hard time looking for a next romance novel after this one.

There was so much hype about this book for years, now I finally got around to reading (uhm listening to) it, it fell short for me personally. I understand the whimsical and nostalgic side of this story, but it fell flat for me. I struggled my way through this one. The age difference feels weird. Because of the time travel the age difference is sometimes exaggerated, this doesn’t sit well with me personally. (And I have read about age differences before and not cared one bit.) Although nothing happens when it’s not legal, the yearning feels all kinds of wrong. The voice actress for the audiobook sounds so much younger then the voice actor, this exaggerates the age difference for me when listening. The spicy scenes feel a bit weird and dated. The focus on the sex, the seducing and the carnal part of the relationship seems off because of the age difference at moments in the story. The tone of the book is different from what I am used to. Henry is often saving Claire like she is a damsel in distress, while she seems very capable. It is written very detailed and sometimes uses details I did not need to enjoy the story. The storyline about the medical side of time travelling and figuring it out was very interesting.
IArrrggghhh! I loved this book in the beginning, I couldn't put it down. Yet, at about 2/3rds of the way through it got so depressing! By then I was so invested in the characters I had to keep reading and I stayed up until 2:30 finishing it. Niffenegger definately did a good job, but now I'm ready to throw myself off of something tall.
Couldn’t get into this book. Pretty dull and poor character development. Don’t understand the hype.
One of my favorite books ever. I just love the sci-fi take on this love story. It had a real likelihood of being weird (adult meets his wife when she is a little girl? little girl first meets her husband when he's old enough to be her dad?) but it turned out beautifully.
