I have read 3 other McAdams books. With most of them, you have a love-hate relationship with MM, because she creates these characters that you love and gives them these great relationships, that you are jealous of, and then PLOT TWIST! But, this was the worst for me. MM -- you broke my heart again. Maybe we can make up after I read "Deceiving Lies".

I first wanted to refrain from rating this book, but I decided on a 3 star anyway. Because of the writing style and my fondness of the characters.
When I start reading a book, I want .. no need to be sucked in. You read the first chapter and then you must feel a need or a want to read further and further. With this book I did not experience that. It started out with lots of information, a description of what happened to the heroine and the hero did not get into the story until much later. And for me that is a no no. I like being dumped straight into the story and then be told what happened before. Because now I was actually quite bored with this book and almost DNF until the point the hero made his entrance. And it is hard for me to stay connected to a book if I dislike the first chapters. I skimmed and half read the rest of the book.

Pobre Rachel, le pasa de todo y Kash... OMFG lo amoooooooo, tan lindo, sexy, todo un alpha male y el amor que siente por ella ahhhh!! Rachel fue una warrior total, sobrevivir a Blake no fue cualquier cosa y ella se comportó a la altura, saliendo adelante. El unico momento en que quise golpearla fue cuando ya saben no reaccionaba, osea que le pasaba??? Kash si actuó mal, pero vamoooos todo fue para protegerla, pero buenooooo recapacito; y ese final ah diomiooooo como me dejan así??? Y tengo que decir que ya leí la sinopsis del segundo y quien demonios es Trent?? NO NO NO NO no quiero a nadie entre ellos joder, merecen ser felices yaaaa!
Y sorry pero odie a Candice para mi fue una perra total, a ella es a la que debieron de culpar por todoooooo, y Masonn, cosaaaaaa, que le escriban su historia por favorrrrrrrrr, fue adorable!!!!
Me encantó como se dio y evoluciono la relación entre Rachel y Kash, si se gustaron apenas se vieron peroooooooo no se dijeron que se amaban en el capítulo 2 jajaja así que siii me encantó todo sobre ellos, salvo la vez que ya les dije que quise sacudir a Rach...
Voy a calmarme un poco con otra historia antes de leer el segundo porque enserio Trent, Who? No quierooooo!

As many fellow Molly McAdams readers, I was really hesitant in picking up this book, but my friend assured me that it was better than her previous books, so I decided to try it out. I am so, so glad I did! The characters were stronger, especially Rachel, and there was no unnecessary drama or dragged out plot. There were even surprising plot twists that didn't make me want to kill the author (*cough* *cough* Taking Chances *cough*). I do wish Mason was a more prominent character, since he was one of my favorites of this book, and I think he deserves his own book.
I love alternating chapters. It's wonderful to see both characters' perspectives throughout.
There is mature content, but it is easy to skip through if needed. I highly recommend this book for a good, quick read.
