I'm unfortunately writing this review too late to give it the detail it deserves... I read this book in August and I don't remember much besides the fact that I enjoyed it! I'm really surprised to see that this is the second book in a series, because I haven't read the first one and I didn't have any issues following along with Evie's story. Police procedurals aren't my favorite, but the psychological aspects of this one were really compelling. On the other hand, I wasn't impressed with some of Robotham's sexist comments; luckily they petered out about halfway through the book. Altogether a fun and twisty read!

a very good sequel to Good Girl Bad Girl ! this book told more about Evie's past & trauma, which was very interesting
i would love to see a movie/series adaptation

[Evie likes Elvis? she has taste!!]

some parts were hard to read.. tw: child abuse, rape, pedophilia, torture

i didn’t read the first one because i didn’t realize there was a prequel to this. i thought it was a pretty good book but i probably would’ve enjoyed it more if i had read the first one. things still kinda felt undeveloped to me but i understand that i most likely needed to read the first one. was a good read but didn’t love it
