Te rozkminy Le Guin przekazywane ustami Tenar to złoto. O kobietach i mężczyznach, przemocy, inności, rolach społecznych, możliwościach naprawdę robią wrażenie również pod tym względem, że nie ma w tym moralizatorstwa. Poza tym końcówka i to czy mnie przyjmiesz?...❤️

I loved this return to Tenar's story! Tender, vulnerable, and so very human. ❤️

This was written a long time after the original trilogy but we're back on Gont where it all kicked off from. This is Tenar's story and we get to see Earthsea from the vantage point of ordinary folks (more or less) towards the edge of an empire. Roke and mage magic is very much for men so where does that leave women? There is a hint of "Who cooked Adam Smith's breakfast?" about it (although I suppose technically it should be the other way round as this is first) and another exploration of power in it's different forms and when it's been gained and lost. And dragons of course!! [2022]
This was better than The Farthest Shore. I can’t remember the first two anymore.
