WOW....All I can really say is WOW. Colleen had me on the edge of me seat for this entire novel. This is my absolute new favorite from Colleen and my jaw has officially hit the floor. Absolute masterpiece!

After a struggling writer takes on a job to finish a book series as the author is left incapacitated, she ends up at staying with the authors family when she discovers a manuscript containing alarming admissions. Lowen is left at a crossroads debating whether revealing the horrific truth is worth causing more heartbreak to an already grieving father. The spine-chilling revelations being fed to you and wicked plot twists that just kept brewing, hooked me right until the end. If you loved It Ends With Us you will find this phenomenal and will not be disappointed. Sinister, cryptic and mystifying. Go into this reading no more than the blurb or else you will kick yourself for possible spoilers. ‘After all, this is a house full of Chronics. The next tragedy is already long overdue.’

I had a lot of fun reading this book. I love that every single character is morally ambiguous and has a clear and valid claim to their sketchy decisions. This is my first colleen hoover book and I like that she took the risk to expand her writing into new genres.

This book is sick and twisted

My biggest issue with this book is that (1) the plot twist is lazy and (2) there are some things that are said that weren't developed well

for example I think there is too much ambiguity between Verity's side of the story and Lowen/Jeremy's side of the story. Partly, I just am not buying that a mother could even write something this sadistic about her children. If I were Jeremy I wouldn't believe this letter because lol why would I, but also the fact that she did pay more attention to chastin is a red flag especially if she is on the spectrum.

This book was crazy! A couple of scenes made me nervous and scared. I recommend this to people who like fast-paced thrillers and are ok with open endings.

This book was gripping. It wasn’t what I expected from the previous Colleen Hoover books I’ve read but it was incredible. This is NOT for the faint hearted. It’s incredibly disturbing and distressing at times. There’s a lot of graphic descriptions of very dark scenes which would be difficult for anyone with sensitivities or trauma surrounding any of the content warnings. So don’t read if you’re not prepared! But if you like a dark, gripping, suspense novel this is brilliant.
