2.5 ⭐️
3 things about this book:
1. It took me a hundred years to actually want to just read one more page when it was time to stop. A lot of characters, a lot of places all at the same time. Conclusion: a little difficult to read in the 🚇 (which I tried to do of course)
2. Van Gogh, the 9/11 and internacional intrigue is an interesting topic and I was expecting more than what I got
3. O feel this book would be so much better if it was a film instead

An enjoyable and easy to read crime thriller. But I suspect one that I'll forget pretty soon. Little to distinguish it from countless others of the same form: one subject matter and very obvious good guys and bad guys.
I was actually getting into it but I hit a rough patch in disc 3. . pushing through and hoping for it to get better.

Bloody brilliant.
Interesting storyline - twists and turns.
A banking racket with a greedy criminal art collector, a murdered heiress, a Van Gogh painting and a FBI investigation...oh and throw in 9/11 as well.
Very quick read indeed, love Jeffrey Archer’s novels, this one is no exception.

Not super into the accents the narrator used in this edition. The overall story is interesting, but mostly I just kept thinking how notable it was that the characters were able to fly all over the planet so easily just after 9/11. Remember when you didn't have to take your shoes off at the airport? NOSTALGIA.
Archer's usual fare. Easy reading, lots of twists & turns.
Unfortunately I lost interest at some point and couldn't finish the book. The description was promising and kind of Dan Brown-like but not quite there. Maybe I'll give it another chance at some point but I am done for now as I have so many other truly exciting books to read.
