“I was known before I was born and my name will be blazoned in history long after I’m dust in the ground. Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.”
I've already read books from this series and now I got to read the first one. Messy? Who cares!
This book was a nice intro to the series. That ending! *swoon* I can't wait to read more.

I cried. I shouldn’t have cried when the cover looks like that, but I did, like kind of a lot too—in sadness and happiness. Oh man. It was good and took me by surprise.
And they all live happily ever after.... or do they?
Olivia finds herself in her own real life fairytale.... once Upon a Time... prince Nicholas walks in the door of her coffee shop..... their meeting starts off with her slamming a pie in his face... after he makes an inappropriate offer.... but he is a prince, so of course he is charming.... and charms her into going on a date with him....
what starts off as a fling... grows into so much more.... but there are problems... Prince Nicholas is set to be married in five months... and definitely not to New Yorker Olivia... a simple commoner... and as much as Olivia likes being treated as a princess 👑 there is a lot of responsibility that goes along with dating a royal....is she up for it?
Loved the characters in this book... both the primary and all the secondary characters.... they really added so much to this book... Emma Chase is probably one of the best at writing the male Point of view.... looking forward to the next book in the series...💕

What a wonderfully fun book. And hot, definitely a HOT read. I always wished I could meet a prince who would be so captivated by me that he would make me a princess. Alas, I met my prince, he just wasn’t royal. Nevertheless I enjoyed living vicariously through Olivia, she gets to go through quite the ride on her way to romance.
I love you, Olivia. I love you. And I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know how to let you go.
As much as I loved Nicholas, I also had moments of hate for him. He is a rather pompous arse, cocky, self important… you know, just what you would expect of someone raised with the world at their feet, but when he meets Olivia she becomes the perfect balance to his pretentiousness. And if anyone deserves a prince it’s definitely Olivia, who is barely making ends meet with a failing cafe and an absent alcoholic father. So when Nicholas swoops in on the winter winds we can’t hold her decision to give him another chance against her.
The writing is fast paced, without a single dull moment. It can easily be finished in a day, with a nice and tidy ending that will leave you feeling like it’s complete.. But never fear because Royally Screwed is just the first in the series and even though you could be done, in the end you will feel a need to continue in the world of Princes and Kings…

I’ve read this book at least twice before if not more, but I couldn’t stand the male protagonist this time. Maybe I’m older or in a particular mood regarding disaffected privileged men, but I wasn’t interested in reading any more about him.
Loved being royally screwed..... in the heartstrings!
The tale of Nicholas and Olivia is amazing. Him. A Prince. Her. A New York spitfire. A match made in..... well anywhere! Loved this story. The writing makes you chuckle a bit. Tear up. And ultimately smile big!
