A great anthology ranging from techno-punk to post-apocalyptic to rich fantasy worlds, with a dash of backwoods horror and leftism. A great book to get you out of a reading slump. If one story doesn't tickle your fancy, odds are the next one will capture your imagination.
Killjoy's shortest stories are some of the most haunting. "Not One of Us Will Survive This Fog" and "Beyond Sapphire Glass" have so much emotion and world building, and are some of the shortest stories in the anthology. The titular "We Won't Be Here Tomorrow" is a concept that could be an entire novel, but is punchy and perfectly paced - dark, grim, but hopeful. "Men of Ashen Morrow" and "Into the Grey" make me want an entire fantasy series from Killjoy.
A great first read for 2023! Not all the stories were my cup of tea. I think some of them will be brilliant narrated, but are less alive in print, particularly in the first quarter of the work.

A wonderful collection of stories! Some feel incredibly fresh and prescient to the age in which we live, others feel indescribably, immeasurably ancient. But they are all, unequivocally, earnest, queer and punk as fuck.
Margaret Killjoys voice and prose is as always unmistakable.
Its a lovely change of pace to read something that is so sincere and uncynical. The worlds described are often similar to our own, the characters have been beaten down and broken, much like many of us, but there is no ounce of cynicism in their words. If anything, the state of the worlds around them make their beliefs more undeniable, more clear. And in a world that seems steeped in post-irony, that lets disaster after disaster crash upon its shores with barely a reaction save for sarcastic twitter memes, that is exactly the voice and the attitude we need.

As any short story collection, some are better than others. But god, I just really like Killjoy's world and characters and themes.

Incredible writing. This is my first time reading Margaret Killyjoy's work and I'm astounded. This is top tier speculative fiction! If you like the TV show Black Mirror or the Twilight Zone, you will like this book!
Particularly loved: "The Devil Lives Here", "Not One of Us Will Survive This Fog", "The Fortunate Death of Jonathan Sandelson", and "Invisible People".

This is the most badass, imaginative collection of short stories I've read in a long time. Loved the little moments of dark humor. If I ever go camping, I will absolutely 100% NOT take this book with me because I'd scare myself right back home!
