This short stories collection is one that would have you feeling like an aneurysm burst and everything you're reading is nonsensical.
I did like some of the stories they were really interesting. "Porridge on Islac, The silence of the Asonu, the ire of the Veksi, the royals of Hegn, great Joy and Wake island."
The rest weren't my cup of tea. Either because the info dumping was tooo much for me OR because it felt like I'd need a hallucinogenic to really get into it.
"The wind's twelv quarter" is by far her best short story collection

This is escapist reading at some of its most perfect (in my rather subjective opinion). There’s no plot, no overarching conflict, no cast of characters to keep track of - just each individual chapter being devoted to a new world, a new people, and a new society to learn about in considerable detail, courtesy of Ursula Le Guin’s magnificent imagination.

A wonderful way to pass the time while waiting to catch a flight at the airport. Using the familiar medium of an airport, Le Guin shows you glimpses of different societies on different planes of existence.
