I really wanted to like this book. I finished it because I wanted to know where the storyline was heading but I should have stopped. The pacing was strange to me and the characters were said to be one way but acted another. The premise was creative but the characters connected to each other too quickly for my taste and it just didn’t feel believable that the curse was going on 50 years and no one could solve it.

I'm going to need book 2 like now please. This was such a great read. I liked the dark twists and the slow burn of romance. I expected the very end but really her uncle?! I shockingly didn't see that one coming. I hope they find a way to make it work without Ki sacrificing herself. Girl is WILD but in the best way

The way it is written seems very jumbled. Like the writer was trying to squeeze two books into one…I ended up putting it down for almost a month when I only had 4 or 5 chapters left.

Everything in this book felt underdeveloped. It also was not spooky/scary at all which was a disappointment.
