Sun goddess disappeared long time ago and it's now or never to bring light and sun back. Otherwise the kingdom is doomed,so Kiara and Jude with rest of their little group get send to the Mist, the most horrible place to go. But with all the terrifying secrets it holds, there also might be the answers they're looking for.
Lore and action with little romance on the side, amazing. Mist is place like no else, I don't even know how to explain the experience.
Lore and story are so good! I got so invested putting all the pieces together. And the characters!!! Especially Jude won me over🤭

I can’t remember what drew me to this book prior to seeing a physical copy of it and wanting to own it for that reason alone. However, I’m glad I bought it cuz it’s hands down one of my favorite fantasy reads in a long time! World building wasn’t too difficult to understand or follow, the cast of characters is diverse, and the story had me on the edge of my seat! If you like fantasy I highly recommend adding this book to your TBR. You won’t be disappointed!

I started this with my bookclub and quickly put it down.
By page 3 Kiara has so thoroughly sealed herself as a pick-me, and reiterated time and time again how she was "not like other girls".
The love was insta-love. The Ki's inner monolog felt unnatural and usually resulted in the author telling not showing.
I am giving this 2 stars because even though this feels akin to the hunger games, the plot could have been interesting had it been more thought out and better implemented.
