Chirps and growls

I love Zach’s mom. She and the entire Zachary clan are fantastic, full of love and just what Austen needs. I think we could all learn a lot from them. Also this book was beary funny, and I would love to play in the snow with all and all of these characters.

“Don’t let fear rob you of something wonderful.” I knew Austen was special but he’s a favorite of mine and will forever live in my heart. He’s complex and layered, and it was both fun and humbling seeing them all unwrapped. Zach is amazing. He’s gentle, understanding, kind, really sexy and knows just how to smooth Austen’s prickles. I easily fell in love with them. An amazing book full of amazing characters that will take hold of your heart.

We finally get to see more of Austin and Zach and it was so worth the wait! I adore Zach's family and crack up at how Austin tries to figure them out. There are so many wonderful moments in this book and you will find yourself cheering, loving, and crying at parts but it is simply another magnificent book by one of my favorite authors.

Though, I really want to know the recipe to the hot cocoa and cannot wait for Brayden's story!

I loved it. Austin and Zach (and Zach's family) are incredible. I adore the THIRDS universe.

12/6/2018 I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrator.

Ok so it doesn't seem to matter what book it is in this series it always makes me happy. I've always enjoyed Austin and have been waiting for his story. I love his prickly nature. He's all growly bear in a spitting little cheetah body. I just want to cuddle him to watch him squirm. Of course he'd fall for someone like Zach all sweet and patient.

This is a tight contained little story. This has a nod to the outside story going on, but really is self-contained and maneuvers a few things into position without drawing in our main cast of characters. I really enjoyed seeing Zach's whole family and how those bears operated. They're quite the clan and I'm sure ultimately Braedon's going to get pulled in too. Cause Mama Bear is going to end up adopting those little loner boys. I did enjoy seeing Austin's relationship with Braedon as well. Their friendship was great.

The whole story was sweet with just a hint of suspense of what's to come. It gave time for Austin to come to grips with what he wanted and Zach to persuade him that it was all for the good. :)

I don't know why I waited so long to read this book. I fell in love with the thirds series and we met Austen and Zach. The cheesy doodles incident between Zach and Dex will forever be remembered and laughed at.

The first chapter starts with a bang! Zach gets injured and Austen comes to see him. He has been watching over Zach for years and knows his 90+ size family. Zach's family is so funny and I just love the dynamics between them.

Austen puts Zach in hiding because of the attempts made on his life. His family butt in and now his family is along for the ride. It forces Zach and Austen to be in close proximity to each other. Austen does his best to push Zach away but he is a very stubborn bear. When they finally get their heads out of their arses, it's all systems go. They had so much built up tension so the sex scenes were hot.

I felt like the mystery wasn't as big as others, but it didn’t bother me. They just blunder through and try to see who is after Zach. I was more for the romance on this one. This book was a great addition to the thirds universe, it just makes me want to see a story for a certain pair from this book.

Oh my god this book was so fun. I loved Austen when he got introduced to us in THIRDS and him getting his HEA was so sweet. Of course, I expect we'll see him and Zach pop in and out of the TIN series and I can't wait for that. I also really hope we get more Brayden at some point because he was a riot and he deserves the spotlight for a bit tbh.

E-book version.

I read this one when I listened to the audiobooks of the THIRDS series and I missed the voice interpretation, mostly of Austen.

The plot was thin but just enough to be interesting without being to crazy. I liked the book though I think the building of their relationship was a bit quick...

No big revelation but a few light spoilers ahead, beware.

I know it's been 4 years since they met and have feelings for each other but I think Austen's walls fell too easily and all at the same time, the same night I should say...
Zach is one giant teddy bear. I want to hug him but I also want him to stand up for himself at the right time. He did something stupid because he doesn't want to be overprotected but then tell his mother that he was wrong not to accept to be smothered ? He was wrong about his action but not his reason for it. Why would they have to be so overbearing with him and not with all his other brothers and sisters ? If they were proud of them, why can't they be proud of him ? That said, I still want to hug him and share cheesy doodles with him.
Austin is badass. I liked how he doesn't lie to Zach. He avoided him and didn't tell him a lot but never lied to him. He's afraid of Zach's reaction but he still has hope (deeply buried). And he's sweeter and better than he thinks he is.

Ok I actually kinda liked this up until the last chapters, where it devolved into the usual dumb drama and super obvious villain reveal. Though I did welcome the blessed absence of the main series' cast, maybe that's why I actually enjoyed this, lol.

I had been looking forward to Austen's story ever since he was introduced. He is a bit weird and creepy and stalker-ish, but I liked the wounded, emotionally stunted spy thing he had going on! Zach is a Bear Therian who is super cute and soft, and I thought they were adorable together.

My only issue is that we didn't see much of them together, even if we got so many tiny hints during the series, so them being in love with each other felt so sudden and rushed? Like, Ok, Austen's been stalking him for years (lol) but it doesn't seem like they'd spent enough time together to really get to know the other. I wish the book had been longer and taken more time to flesh out the characters and their bond.

The plot was dumb AF, literally going on a family retreat to a family estate when you are wanted by assassins has to be the most brain-dead plan ever. The action and the villain reveal was as unsurprising and boring as usual.

I did notice that while I'm a hater, I always am very intrigued by side ships, it's truly the one thing that keeps me going. In the main series, I want Dom and West's story, but this one set up a potential Brayden (Austen's best friend and fellow TIN agent) and Edan (Zach's big bro), as well as Bram x Felipe. I want those! Even though I know that if they do happen I'll be disappointed! It's like I'm collecting all the side ships and upcoming disappointments but I can't stop, I'm a side ship whore. I really did like Brayden x Edan though I do wish it hadn't been inst)love/lust not sure what's going on lol. What happened to romantic tension and development

Wow oh my god

After waiting for so long for Austen and Zach's story it is so good!! I won't spoil it. I fell in love with the whole Zachary clan, all ninety five of them. Definitely worth the wait, but I would recommend that you start at the beginning with Hell and High Water.
