This was cute. These books are pretty short but enjoyable. Don't expect much character development or depth though.
A quick read that I needed to get me out of a slump. So far my fav part.
The second book of the series is so so good, I loved it even more than the first one. It was so full of angst, sadness, trauma, and finally, love. Raife was such a good MMC, and I loved seeing his character develop and his walls break down. He had an incredibly rough life and completely shut everything and everyone out, but still, there was so much goodness and kindness in him, and above all, fear of not losing anybody he cared about ever again. All in all, I'm truly enjoying the series and will gladly finish all four books.

The whole book is Kailani's inner monologue, fortunately she's an okay fmc to follow. This book is an easy fantasy romance read, good for when you want something quick and don't want to think 😄 The world-bulding, plot and characters are very simple made.
