“You are meant for the sunlight, Lance Orion. So you’ll stand with me in it or else we’ll stay in the dark together,”

I thought I would end up hating this book but this book became my comfort book in this series. I loved it so much because we finally got the ✨️ found family arc ✨️ While the last 100 pages of this book had me sobbing and crying like a banshee (internally) the rest of the book was magical. I mean I didn't cry a single tear until that war happened.

This book was filled with love and hope and so much happiness that my heart was bursting with all of it. The heirs and the vega twins were finally having their sweet peaceful moments along with Geraldine's family, Gabriel's family and everyone in the burrows. At first I thought this one would be more based on war strategy and less on characters' development. This might be the longest book but I just loved every word of it.
There were so many great and beautiful moments in this one. And I loved how the authors were focused on every couple. The time they all spent together as the family was so precious.

Also I didn't expected this to be this smutty!?!? All the scenes were Chef's kiss

The spice and story is good but I just can’t vibe with the whole “nuzzling” and “neighing” bleck sorry. Almost a DNF but I’m hellbent on Darius and Tory becoming endgame

thoughts while reading the book:

OK, OK, I GET WHERE THE AUTHORS WERE GOING WITH THE PLOT NOW. IT MAKES SENSE NOW.
I'm still mainly here because I love the characters, but this book made me realize I REALLY LOVE THEM. BECAUSE WITH EVERYONE GETTING ALONG THE BOOK IS SO FUNNY. the authors have really done a good job developing their characters and humor and I keep smiling and laughing all the time. I also really, REALLY needed a couple hundred pages of all of them just to be able to enjoy life for a while (even though it was done in an underground hiding spot, but I'll take any moment of happiness at this point).

the fact that at this point in the series I love (or at least like) everyone is so crazy to me because I did not like tory or darius but now I just love everyone!! oh my god, this series has been so fun and entertaining. you can say whatever you want about it but I'll forever advocate that Zodiac Academy is one of the most wildest series I've ever read.

thoughts AFTER reading...

these authors love to fuck with me. I've never read a series filled with so much pain. they NEVER get their happy endings, bro...... what even happens now...... the unfairness of it all just gets to me. like, darius has grown up his whole life with the world against him from the start and, I know I hated him at first, but now I feel like he's made up for the person he ALMOST became. all of his actions, he's made up for. BUT THEN HE GETS KILLED? LIKE, WHAT? HOW DOES LIONEL KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH SHIT ITS CRAZY. then you got lancey. my poor man. he's been through it all and now he's gotta be someone's plaything after just losing his girl and best friend. I can't... I can't believe this is even happening. they can never just BE LEFT ALONE IN PEACE. it makes me so sad. and darcy and tory... we all already know how much these girls deserve a moment of reprieve. it's so frustrating.

it's just so unfair. after everything everyone has been through, they deserve to be happy. they deserve it so much and I can't believe it's come to this because of one fucking psychopath. I will say that I appreciate that the character's decisions make huge impacts on the plot because in a lot of fantasy's, authors have the plot save the characters but in this series, ANYTHING can and will happen because THEY WANT ME TO SUFFER. I'll seriously be watching happy edits of these characters and start crying because I want them to be happy so badly. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
