Finishe listenting to this book. Archer didn't finish the book; you have to read the next one to find out what happens.
I do have the next in the series checked out to listen.

Perhaps the series has run its course...just not as good as the first ones. :( I'll still read the final book but not as excited as I used to be about them.

Not the best book in the series, it took me a while to get the hang of the story (plus, it's been quite some time since I've read book four), and it felt a bit like a repeating party trick. The board meetings and votes, the trials and business take overs... I still really enjoy this series, but it's getting a bit old, come book five. I'm hoping book six will be somewhat of a 'refreshment'.

The best of the series so far.

I'm addicted! Already worried that I will finish the chronicles soon as there are only 2 books left. Can't believe where the story has taken me, what a journey through these families lives.

An OK read, typical Jeffrey Archer i.e. short sentences, cliff hanger endings to chapters and, of course, a cliff hanger ending...

Still a very good book and good series, my problem is just that it is starting to feel a little like a soap opera at this point (mind you i’ve never seen a soap so i don’t actually know) where there keep being problems and things happening that just feel uncalled for. How can these enemies keep hating and trying to ruin these people’s lives for no good reason? It makes no sense!

Jeffrey Archer is a master at keeping you just enough hooked to keep on reading.
medium-paced
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

This book is just soo good !

This is the fifth book in the series so I'm committed to reading them all, but not without a certain amount of eye rolling at the writing and the ridiculous cliffhanger ending to this installment. Probably the fastest book I've read this year but by no means high quality.
