Loving this series, more than a Harry Potter knock off, if that is what you are thinking.
This books we get to meet Gilgamesh, Billy the Kid and Shakespeare. Explore the history of Excalibur and the crow goddess. Earn an expected trip to the past.
And I loved finally getting to see Perry in action. I think the two will make a formidable team, cannot wait to see what the next book hold for the group, now that they are together and more trained.

I don't know why it took me so long to read this. Once I started (again), I couldn't stop.
One weird thing, though. I mostly read it on the Kindle and enjoyed it more than reading the hardbound book. There is something about the page/ink color in the book I do not like. I wonder if that means I have to buy the Kindle Necromancer...

Die Uhr läuft ab: Nicholas Flamel in der Stadt seiner Feinde!
Mit Müh und Not konnten Nicholas Flamel und die Zwillinge Josh und Sophie aus Paris entkommen – bevor ihr erbitterter Widersacher Dr. John Dee die Stadt verwüstet und Notre Dame in Trümmer gelegt hat. Nun sind die Freunde in London, der Stadt ihrer Feinde. Nie waren sie den dunklen Mächten so nah, und ohne den CODEX wird Flamel schwächer und schwächer. Auch die Zwillinge dürfen ihre immer stärker werdenden magischen Kräfte nicht offenbaren. Flamels geliebte Perenelle – die mächtige Zauberin – ist noch immer weit entfernt. Und so muss Flamel allein einen Weg finden, die Zwillinge in der dritten magischen Kraft auszubilden: in der Wassermagie. Aber der Einzige, der sie darin schulen kann, ist völlig unberechenbar: Es ist Gilgamesch, der uralte König, zerrissen vom Wahnsinn.
Wie gut, dass es Reihenfortsetzungen gibt, bei denen man auch dann leicht wieder in die Handlung findet, wenn das Lesen des Vorgängers eine Weile zurück liegt. Etwas weniger spannend als seine Vorgänger ist es schon und es hatte auch stellenweise seine Längen, aber insgesamt immer noch eine leichte, angenehme Lektüre mit sympathischen Figuren. Band 4 wartet schon hier. Geduldig.
