I liked this book. Some of the characters had fun personalities. (Although, I hated the main character.) The plot was interesting. It was mostly written well. My critique would be that I felt like the ending didn’t make much sense and the main romance felt rushed. I spent a while if the story asking questions, and was pretty dissatisfied when a lot of it made no sense. All in all, the story was ok. I gave it 3 stars because it wasn’t bad. It just also wasn’t my favorite.
3 stars for a very cool concept. Unfortunately, I couldn't follow the execution, and I struggled to connect with the characters.
I have no idea what was going on. Or what the point was.
I didn't like the book. I did a thing I never do that is barely reading, kind of skipping.
Starting with the main character that is confused is a way to confused us too. I didn't like him at all. He felt entitled and weird. Too much thought. Actions were long and boring. I didn't even realize he was shooting rainbows at first.
It is not that the writing is bad. It is more a problem of a POV. At some point I only read the dialogue and understood what was happening instead of being in his head.

Oh my god getting through this was a nightmare. I had such high hopes but they quickly came crashing down. The plot was so hard to follow. Characters were poorly developed. I'm still not sure what the story was even about. Glad it's over.

A bit confusing at times. But was a good read to recover from Call Down the Hawk.
This was a really good faerie story, and pretty great for a debut book. I can't give it five stars, though, because it could have been proofread better before publication. :|
