First light novel after starting the anime a few months ago and boy did it deliver. I really loved how close the light novel pairs with the anime episodes. The chapters are very well paced and the story keeps you gripped page to page. I really loved Lakan's clear love for his daughter and what lengths he would go to help her. I am absolutely devastated to see what MaoMao had to go through towards the end of this volume, I feel like she can't catch a break because she's so nosy. Cannot wait for the next one!!
