Well that escalated quickly! I loved the unraveling of mysteries from the previous novels and connections being made. There are a few things I’m still confused on that I assume will be addressed later but this book was too good to put down. I kept reading well into the morning to finish. I love a good fight too and this book was packed full of stress inducing action.
Once Maomao knows who Jinshi is and he comes for her as Ka Zuigetsu he gets BOLD. The last 50 pages of this book had me screaming giggling and kicking my feet; THIS MAN BITES HER NECK AND USES HER LEGS AS A PILLOW HELLO?! I was not prepared but I was very satisfied. Also super happy that Loulan/Shisui is still alive, wonder what or if she’s plotting something else.
