This book was annoying at times but also offered some good discussions with a friend every week.

Using everyday situations that are easy to identify with, Ann Bogel discusses tips and tricks to spend less time over thinking decisions, and more time embracing opportunities and change. This book is written in Ann Bogel's signature smart and savvy voice, and brings to the table fresh ideas, skills, and lifestyle enhancers. This book was a delightful, bite sized read that was full of applicable nuggets of wise advice.

A lovely reminder to find pleasure in the small things, practice ritual, splurge on occasion, and build daily practices to help stop an overthinking mind from constantly whirring.

It was fine, an enjoyable read - the palate cleanser I needed after a book about 9/11.

Although I do not think that overthinking is a real problem for me, I still got some good ideas from the easy to read book.

This was my very first audiobook. Not sure I’m hooked on the format yet but that doesn’t have to do with this book itself. While I found myself nodding along with so much of what Anne says, I felt this was too much story and not enough meat. The thoughts and ideas were solid, but I wished there was more in the hashing out of how to carry her suggestions out in our own lives.

I enjoyed reading this book and the questions she posed at the end of the chapters to think about. Its to the point and gives great examples of things she has over thought about herself and many of ourselves.

"When it's clear a decision is needed to move forward, the worst thing we can do is not act. Making a choice - any choice - is better than staying stuck debating our options, letting the moment pass us by. The next time you face this kind of decision, try adopting my friend's mindset. Just pick something, anything. It's better than doing nothing, and besides, things that don't unfold according to plan often make the best memories."

I definitely enjoyed moments of this book, but there was nothing radically new or profound in this book that I haven't heard before. I appreciate Anne Bogel, but she's not someone I'm overly attached to. I've listened to a few episodes of her podcast and I've read [b:I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life|38502471|I'd Rather Be Reading The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life|Anne Bogel|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1522239360l/38502471._SX50_.jpg|60141215] but neither overwhelmed me with a desire to make room in my life for a new interest and become a devoted member of the Modern Mrs. Darcy crew. I think this book would be enjoyed more by those readers who really enjoy Anne Bogel and what she has to say.
