One of my goals this year has been to read more manga and graphic novels. When I saw the Tea Dragon series was available to read on KU, I jumped at the opportunity to read and visualize this pure and wholesome story and art!
I absolutely loved each of these books. They were all very short, interconnected stories that left me feeling at peace and smiling as I finished. What a wonderful found family full of diversity and inclusivity. I immediately recommended this to a few people after finishing, because I need more people to read it! It was so tender and sweet, and the storyline had me hooked! I loved getting to learn more about the character and the history of the tea dragons.
Greta, Minette, Rinn, Aedhan, Erik, Hesekiel, and all of the tea dragons hold a special place in my heart. Iโm tearing up right now just thinking about them. ๐ฅน๐ซถ๐ป Overall, this is a story about the power of friendship and loving people and giving them space to be themselves.
Some quotes that will stick with me:
๐ โJust because something comes easily to you, does not mean it has no value.โ
๐ โYou feel like youโve lost your path. Itโs natural to be sad. Itโs alright to let those feelings wash over you, and give them time to soak into the earth. Thatโs when things start to grow again.โ
๐ โWhen someone is grieving, the best thing you can do is to let them heal on their own, and show them that youโll be there for them.โ
Highly recommend these sweet and wonderful graphic novels!

Glad to say that this is my most favorite book series. This book was great, slower than the rest, but good. It taught me great lessons about grief, accepting that you're having a new life and that you need to move on instead of living as if you were that person but you're not, and on embracing your passions and loved ones. Also, really love the lessons on hard work and education. I liked that it touched on how one can have room to grow and yet be skilled and that's good. I feel like we don't hear that enough. Or especially how a mentor can have that experience. It's inspiring. This book is inspiring. Really liked the subtle romance too.
