While not as Galaxy shattering as the events of Light of the Jedi, the story feels more focused since it deals with a single group of Jedi and the ship crew that were hired to take them to Starlight Beacon. Leox, Affie, and Geode are wonderful additions to the galaxy during this era and wonderfully weird and lovable!

i really enjoyed this one. It was quite funny, Geode was a great character, I loved how Reath was a bookworm/scholar and not interested in “adventures,” I really enjoyed the insight into how Vitus thought emotions shouldn’t be suppressed and how Orla also questioned how the Force moved within her. It was an overall good story too, with good mystery and intrigue that wasn’t too depressing.

i loved the action of the book and the characters, but I don't like her take on the jedi order with cohmac. he goes on and on about how its wrong for the jedi order to divide the light and dark side of the force when in the last tcw arc under Lucasfilm, yoda literally talks about how you need to know both the light and the dark lived within people. he states that it is one's duty to acknowledge the dark, but not to give in. the jedi order in this book doesn't go with that, so i'm a bit confused as to where this is coming from.
