I had a difficult time getting through this book. Although I found it interesting at times and the overall concept interesting there just wan't enough flow for me to stick to it. It took me a long time to read this one and I don't think I would read it again.

4.75 stars!
This is such a good book! It teaches you so much about how it can be as a family in nazi germany! Also how cruel it can be a jew! The characters are amazingly build and you will just fall for them! The only thing that really threw me off with this story was the random facts and dictionary of random german words! I can will see why they're there, so I just started to skip them in the end! I loved Max's books and how they were drawn into the story! I just have a soft spot for Max and Han..

This book was so creative and heartbreaking! It was absolutely magnificent! Especially if you are craving a good World War II novel, read this! It will change your life and the way you view that time period. I loved every minute of it!
