2.5 I've read this before and seen a TV adaptation, both long ago, and although I only remembered bits and pieces I seemed to feel a teeny bit sour about it. And I was right...although the Stephanie Cole audiobook was very well done, this still isn't a favorite Miss Marple.
My first Miss Marple book and I was disappointed lol
Okay, I picked this book up because I needed to read a book published the year that I was born for the Professional Book Nerds 2019 Reading Challenge. I have read Poirot stories by Agatha Christie, but this is the first Miss Marple that I have read. I have to say, I was very disappointed. Miss Marple just seem to be a bumbling old woman throughout the story - I guess that I had thought that she was a bit more Murder She Wrote. I will give Miss Marple another chance, but this book was a disappointment.

Arguably the weakest of the Miss Marple books, primarily because she plays such a small part in it. The plot is curious, but there feels to be one or two elements too many, so it gets rather muddled. That being said, the idea of the hotel itself, and how it is run, was an interesting concept that I quite enjoyed.
