This book was much more confusing to follow than other Miss Marple books but it was still a fun, fast read.

A warm bath of a book - the description of a quiet Edwardian gem in the pell-mell heart of London relaxes you to the core. The breakfast menu alone had me kicking back in bliss. Then comes the drama - mystery is buried in this peaceful hotel. Ensconced beside Miss Marple, an unassuming, shrewd police inspector comes to investigate. Together they unravel a criminal racket and unveil its perpetrators. The Queen of Mystery keeps us guessing but in this edition, also waiting for the majority of the book before murder. The hotel's charm and a missing clergyman make up for it but Christie could have aced it if shots were fired sooner.
