Didn't like what I read. The convenience of the plot, the lack of political drama, the "action thriller" vibe the novel was going, the "too good to be true" protagonist in first person... The plot twists that were just so horribly written. Didn't enjoy it. Had high hopes for it... Fell flat

Plot carries you along

The story rang true and was fast paced with a surprise ending. I would definitely recommend it as a good read.

Enthralling. Deep insight into political drama

Really enjoyable and well written.

I wasn't expecting great things and it went about as well as I thought it would go.

Disclaimer, I read it via audible. I loved the story, it was amazing. I guess having an ex-president writing the story gives you a lot of insight into how a president would behave. I love Dennis Quade too for his acting but this performance was a bit lacking, I believe that may be because I have been spoilt by the performance I have seen from others. still the story was ground enough that I had to give it an overall 5 star.

Enjoyed this very much!! A great insight into the workings of the presidency and a classic James Patterson story

It's fast paced and exciting. Gets a bit ridiculous with the President turning into action man. Feels a bit like Bill Clinton day dreaming about being an special forces operator. Enjoyed it though and kept me turning the pages quickly.

This was my first stab at a Patterson book and while it's totally not the kind of thing I would normally read, it was pretty fun! The pace of the book is quick which helped keep my attention and definitely made the book feel more suspenseful. Clinton and Patterson don't really have a separate voice in my opinion so I can't speak much to Clinton's writing but I think he adds an interesting perspective as the majority of the book involves very specific presidential things that I can only imagine he knows from some first-hand experience.

Overall, I don't know that I'll pick up another Patterson book but I'm glad I finally tried and it was as enjoyable as this one!
