I forgot how much I love dystopian YAs. This is a classic. Almost finished it in one day. Really enjoyed it.

Everyone is flawed, but not everyone gets caught.
Celestine North is the perfect girl, getting perfect grades, with the perfect boyfriend, a perfect family and perfect friends. She even wears a charm identifying her perfectness.
As a budding mathematician, Celestine views everything in definites, positives and negatives, black and white.
In one evening, the foundations of her perfect world begin to crack. The cracks get bigger and wider until the unbelievable happens. Our perfect girl is perfect no longer.
being found to be flawed slowly unblinkers our heroine and reveals her complicity in perpetuating the unfair, unbalanced '(f)laws' of society.
I love Cecilia Ahern's adult books and was excited to see her debut into the YA market. It's a wonderful book of how an averge girl unwittingly turns into a pariah. Her very innocence, her naivety, coupled with her unfaltering attitude about right and wrong, brings about not only her downfall, but also society's. She has her 'flaws' and Ms Aherns doesn't put Celestial on a pedestal, even though everyone else does. I like that she reacts to situations honestly.
Don't expect the sophistication of Ms Ahern's adult novels. This is YA and written for a younger audience with one graphic branding scene, although the real horror of the story is the complete lack of humanity and compassion shown by a brainwashed, frightened public, reminiscent of the days of segregation or even the fanaticism of Nazi Germany.
It is interesting how her faith and trust in people is turned and turned, like a magician's coin - the government, the Guild, the press, her teachers - each flip revealing a different face.
A wonderful, thought-provoking read.
dark tense fast-paced

I loved this book and can’t wait to read part two, it’s a little graphic in places though!!

This book gets an F. Lol just kidding. For real, it’s not that bad. This book has an intriguing but underdeveloped plot. It talks about a perfect society, one that won’t tolerate any human mistake. Perfect idea, good plot but terrible execution if you ask me. The dialogue was lacking as well. Real life people don’t speak like that. The dialogue was weird and too to the point. The villain of the story is so one dimensional that he makes Voldemort look sympathetic. The main character is so guillible that it’s painful to sympathize with her or even defend her. Solider guy is obviously her love interest in the next book, yet I can’t tell why she’s so attracted to him when she’s somehow also madly in love with her boyfriend.

I LOVED THIS BOOK

Altogether, Flawed is a rather lovely YA read. It's a nice new twist on distopian romance, and might be a little easier for younger readers than our classics such as 1984. The personal messages within it can be a little cheesy at times, but you have to give credit where it's due: at least Cecelia Ahern promotes positive self-image for young readers instead of the predominant "Beauty and power are everything" agenda.

Interesante historia

This completely surprised me. The dystopian universe sort of theme had more depth and interest than I would have ever thought. It was so good!
