 I enjoyed the two perspectives in this book however I feel that it would have been better if it was a duology where each book was able to delve further into each perspective. I also did feel that this book read more on a middle grade level than a YA level. However, I did enjoy the book and loved how the teenagers were at the center of creating the protest and ushering in the fight to dismantle the status quo for the better.

Fast but important read, reminiscent of The Hate You Give. Gives the reader a front row seat to some of the emotions and thoughts of a person subjected to racism and police violence as well as a person learning to see those problems.
