I have a new favorite Nash brother and his name is Spencer aka Spence aka NOT Spencie. This may be my favorite Lisa Suzanne book yet - not only was it spicy hot, but it was also hilarious in scenes. I smirked and giggled so many times reading how Spencer and Grace went from a fauxmance to a full on romance. And I won't lie, I love how the evil family member was not the Dad, for once (the Dad's deserved a break!).

When Grace propositions Spencer, she doesn't think he will take her seriously. 12 or so hours later, she finds out he took her very seriously. And so begins their whirlwind romance and through many, many attempts to discredit their love they find everything they ever wanted and more. And they lived Happily Ever After.

I must admit that I've been dying to learn about Spencer since I read about his older brother Lincoln a while back, and he sure didn't disappoint. Grace and him made the perfect couple. I loved how supportive they where of each other and how no matter what was thrown there way they managed to work through it together. Spencer might be my favorite Nash brother so far.

Wedding the Wide Receiver is an accidental / marriage of convenience football romance. I was excited to jump back into the Nash Brothers series with Spencer. I loved Spencer and Grace, they had an undeniable connection from the start and definitely a few obstacles and insecurities to overcome to find their happy ending! Lisa always knows how to create villains that make me root for the couple even more. Spencer and Grace have become a top favorite couple for me that Lisa has written.

REVIEW: Wedding the Wide Receiver by Lisa Suzanne

Release Date: September 17, 2024
Genre: Sports Romance
Format: Audiobook
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Book # for 2024: #84

SYNOPSIS: Grace Newman wakes up in Vegas married to her sister’s ex-fiancé, Spencer Nash, and has no idea how she got there. If they stay married for a year, Grace will inherit her family’s vineyard. After a year, they can go their seperate ways, but they quickly realize that their marriage may have been exactly what they needed.

MY THOUGHTS: And I’m back with another sports romance!

This was super cute and fairly spicy. Grace was extremely likeable and relatable. Spencer Nash is also a great character. Although, he does make some stupid decisions towards the end of the book. I was rooting for them to make it work!

With the exception of her sister, I loved the secondary  characters! (Especially, his family!) Her sister is really unbelievable. She’s awful to Grace and has been for their entire lives. She tries to sabatoge Grace every chance she gets. She had no redeemable qualities.

One thing I would’ve liked to see was more development of their relationship as a couple during their weekend in Vegas. They went from getting married for business purposes to having feelings for each other within the span of a few days. I would’ve loved for the marriage of convenience to last a little longer before feelings got involved.

Overall, I really enjoyed the audiobook! It was dual POV with a male narrator and a female narrator. I really enjoyed the female narrator! I was not as big of a fan of the male narrator. Specifically, I wasn’t a fan of the voices he used for the female characters especially during the spicier scenes.

Thank you to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for the ALC!

I was instantly hooked in this book from the first chapters. The whole revenge plot and Vegas adventure was wildly entertaining. I stayed for the drama that unfolded and the love story that slowly began!! I found myself slowly falling for Grace and Spencer as the slow burn continued. Spencer is such a perfect cinnamon roll mmc.

This audiobook was so fun to listen to!! The narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster and Tor Thom were the best voices for Grace and Spencer.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, this is my personal and truthful review.
I found this book such a great read. The accidental wedding/marriage of convenience are some of my favourite tropes.
I found that the ‘sisters ex’ trope, can sometimes focus on the sisters ex too much however this trope was so well written and Lisa Suzanne really focused and followed the story of the main characters. You never felt ‘bad’ for the MFC’s sister, she made for the perfect ‘villain’ in this story.
The connection these characters form from the very beginning of the book helps set up the underlying bond that helps keep them together through the rocky times of trying to find their way through their relationship with so many obstacles after having an accidental Vegas wedding.
You are pulled into the main characters story and wanting them to face and win the challenges together that they face throughout the book.
I really liked how the characters from the previous book(s) are included and showcased in this book. Also the next books MMC was introduced a little bit more in this book-which I can’t wait to read…I have really been loving this series.
I loved this story and the storyline flowed perfectly.
If you are looking for a accidental Vegas wedding then make sure to checkout this book.

✨️ This is the 2nd book in the Nash Brothers Series. It is an interconnected standalone.

As always, Lisa writes a swoony man that you can't get enough of.

Spencer Nash is an NFL QB who is engaged to Amelia but when he follows his gut and breaks up with her he finds himself in Vegas with her sister, Grace in a bar. Grace has always been attracted to Spencer but when they first met he hooked up with her sister. Now he is single again and she needs help inheriting the family winery in Minnesota instead of her sister, Amelia.

Elvis weds them in Vegas and they plan to be married for a year and then break up once she inherits the winery. Her sister plots and schemes to expose their marriage as fake so she gets the winery.

There are a lot of twists and turns in this book. I loved the ending.
