Can I just say I love when a girl can be a petty Betty? 😂😂 This book was full of so much back and forth pettiness between the two sisters, with the ultimate blow by our FMC who scored the man. Grace flew to Vegas shortly after finding out Spencer had broken off his engagement to her sister and she had learned that her sister had been cheating on him in an effort to see if he would marry her so she could inherit her family vineyard. After an allergic reaction, some Benadryl, and a lot of tequila, that Elvis chapel was sounding more and more like a good idea. Grace and Spencer woke up the next morning without any recollection of what they did, but they’ve got the license, the rings, and the photos to prove they got married and now they’ve got to convince everyone it wasn’t a sham in order to inherit the vineyard, all while Spencer starts up a new season playing football in San Diego after being released by Minnesota.

Tor and Kelsey did such a great job on this narration. I love how they brought Spencer and Grace to life.

This was a fun and emotional story.
I absolutely loved Grace & Spencer together, there was so much love, laughter & chemistry. They were full of joy and shenanigans, and also dealing with so much more.
There was frustration, sabotage, paparazzi, allergies & more.
They had plenty of hurdles, but when it really mattered what they both wanted most was each other.
This was full of laughs, family, chaos and fun.
Tor Thom & Kelsey Navarro-Foster both did a fantastic job bringing Grace & Spencer to life.

Grace (Gracie) Newman knew it was wrong to fly to Vegas and convince her sister’s pro football ex fiancé (Spencer Nash) to marry her, but she did it anyway. When she found out the reason behind her sister being sneaky, she knew she had to beat her sister to the punch and take over the vineyard for good. When Grace and Spencer Nash wake up in a hotel room in a daze with gold rings on, used wedding outfits (not theirs!) and a marriage certificate, they knew they did the unbelievable and got married. After many apologies and making it out to Spencer’s sister in law, they knew there was something else brewing between the two of them. Could Grace convince Spencer that they should stay together for forever, or will his distrust in women ruin the possibility of their future together?

I got this as an ALC and loved it! Tor Thom has such an amazing voice and Kelsey is a blast to listen to. I loved that the chapter were relatively short and I flew through the audio very quickly. Some Tropes include: accidental wedding/Vegas wedding, forced proximity, one bed (kinda), sisters ex, football (sports romance) and a few more I’m missing. Some TWs to consider are cheating (some explicit detail) and not between the MCs, mention of blacking out and not remembering what you did, and divorce. Just be careful with your triggers.

✨Thoughts✨
After experiencing an allergic reaction and consuming an excessive amount of Benadryl and tequila, Grace and Nash found themselves married in Las Vegas. Motivated by their shared desire for vengeance against Grace's sister, they agreed to a marriage of convenience. Little did they know that this arrangement had the potential to evolve into something genuine.

♥︎ Grace and Nash had a unique bond that stood out amidst the chaos. Grace's sister's interference injected some good drama into the narrative. While Grace struggled to keep up with her sister's schemes, Nash remained a steadfast presence, maintaining his cool in the face of adversity. They were well-suited for one another, balancing each other out. However, as they began to buckle under pressure, I anxiously bit my nails, hoping they would find a way to prioritize their relationship. It was quite the emotional ride.

🎧The cherry on top was the dual amazing narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster and Tor Thom. They flawlessly breathed life into these characters. Their voices added depth to the story, creating an enjoyable audio experience.

✧Overall, this audiobook offered an entertaining escape. If you are a fan of marriage of convenience stories, this audiobook is certainly worth your time!

This was so fun to listen to!

I loved it. The voices were fantastic!

THEY'RE BOTH LEGO NERDS!!! INSTANT 5 STARS! 🤣
My "push present" was the giant, 3-foot tall Hogwarts Castle. We had to take it apart for a move and will be rebuilding it with the baby book dragons when they're old enough, BUT this time with the light up kit! 🤩 Instantly bonded with both MCs!

The story was real and raw and showed Spencer, our MMC's, vulnerability as well as his strengths. Without giving too much away, the FMC, Gracie we start out cheering for and then want to warn her as the story progresses.

Just absolutely loved this!

First of all, thanks so much to Valentine PR, author Lisa Suzanne, and producer Podium Audio for sending me an Advanced Listener Copy of this new audiobook.

This book was so good! I knew from the first chapter that it had all the right ingredients: Vegas wedding, professional athlete MMC, ex-fiancée’s sister FMC, and more. And this story really delivered. I was captivated by their relationship development, up in arms about the sister’s underhanded tactics, and on the edge of my seat wondering who would get the winery in the end.

There were some great twists I didn’t see coming, which I always appreciate. Both main characters have interesting and lovable family members for side characters. I haven’t read the other Nash brother books, but I definitely want to now!

The audiobook was pretty good. I like when books with dual-POV are recorded with 2 narrators. I feel it really gives life to the two main characters. My only issue with the audio was that I didn’t love the male narrator’s voice for the FMC. Partly because it was so different from how the female narrator sounded. I didn’t feel as big a difference in the voice the female narrator did for the MMC. But that’s not a big deal for me and I loved the book anyway.

My only issue with the story was that I felt it underplayed the danger and severity of an allergic reaction that requires an epipen. Much of my family has life threatening food allergies and carry epipens, myself included. If it’s a severe enough reaction to need an epipen, you should always go to the hospital, not just use an epipen and take Benadryl. That’s dangerous, as reactions can flare up again hours later. I felt it misinformed the public, perpetuating the misconception that an epipen ‘fixes’ an allergic reaction in a ‘one and done’ way, rather than subduing a reaction to allow people enough time to get to a hospital. Sprinkling someone’s allergen on their food is not just a fireable offense, they should have called the cops on him once they found out.

Anyway, that’s still a relatively minor complaint. Not even worth reducing my review to four stars.

Really adorable love story, I couldn’t put it down!

Favorite quote, especially since I work in Human Resources, is the MMC’s use of the phrase “Serious as a W2”. Love that, made me laugh!

Highly recommend this book if you like romance novels, and this audiobook if you like listening to books!
