The book was cute… could have been at least 200 pages shorter though

Holy crap this book was good. Definitely a top read for me this year, I can’t believe I waited so long to read it. I loved everything about it and I cannot wait for the second book!

A solid read for an engaging story, but man oh man was Knox Morgan one of the most irritating fictional men I've read about.

I have a love hate relationship with this book, hence 3 stars. MAJOR SPOILERS. I just need to rant. Read if you wish.
- I love Naomi’s character. She’s relatable. A coffee addict who’s so trusting of everyone and gets screwed over time and time again. She deserves better than Knox, but I’ve decided that I forgive his character for sucking.
- Knox Morgan. Predictable. Childhood trauma that kinda controls his love life. Leads Naomi on and then breaks her heart. As suspected. But by the end of the book he did enough good that I can say I’m okay with him.
- what made me mad was the reason they got together was because he wanted to sleep with her so he could stop thinking about her. Straight up told her she wasn’t his type but he wanted to sleep with her. I hated that.
- the storyline about Naomi and her niece was the reason I kept reading this book.
- The romance was mid as you can probably guess. Knox’s character had a lot of potential, he just really made me angry the way he treated Naomi. I know it’s all part of the plot, but it was extremely unnecessary.

This book definitely got better as it went on. I really struggled to initially get into it. I loved the characters and I loved the plot. I’m looking forward to delving deeper into the other characters in the sequels
