i love the fact that this is not ‘boy saves girl/girl saves boy’ trope. it’s all about the main characters finding themselves and (almost like) supporting each other along the way.
i love the fact that libby strout doesn’t put up with everyone’s bullshit.
i love the fact that libby strout knows her worth (even if she staggered a bit, i still love her).
jack masselin deserves a smack in the face, and libby did it for me honestly.
however, jack masselin also the deserves some love.
i love how he cares for his brother, dusty.
and i especially love how he figured his stuff out in the end (finally) and stop being the douce that he was.
and especially the one line ‘You are wanted.’

got this as a gift, didn’t know what it was going to be about but it was amazing. i relate to libby a lot and to jacks parents. and the last page was soo cute. i really loved their love story i do wish they was another book to this after they got together but that’s okay.
Not my favorite. Definitely more young adult-y than I wanted. Didn’t really like the plot and didn’t connect with the characters. The lesson of the story was sweet but too young for me. :/
Overall an entertaining, easy read. At least the beginning. It's nice when main characters grow in self-confidence and get to know themselves better, but for some reason I couldn't fully connect to the main characters. For the most part, some events and thoughts felt random and made me not love this book.
