I hadn't realized how much social media has been a major driving force of disinformation and how their policies have helped shape and push fascist ideology. The information that is presented is staggering and it makes me want to throw FB and META in the trash. Her insights and warnings are chilling in their accuracy. Much of what happened in the Phillipines, is currently happening in almost the same way here in the US, just as she predicted it would. The book has inspired me to be more critical and careful in my use of social media and to become more involved in the safeguarding of our democracy in whatever small way I can to help #HoldTheLine
