Not for me. It started off similar to Hunger Games, but then the romance started and was just too mushy. There was also a lot of gratuitous torture that was difficult to read. Not the best written book either.

Okay, I was fighting for my life trying to get into this book cause the first few chapters were dragging. I skimmed the first few chapters until eventually it started getting interesting and once it got there I was pretty much hooked. Especially after finishing the book I can’t wait to start the next one. I’ve heard the books get better after the first read. I would have liked more spicy scenes cause the couple spicy scenes they had wasnt giving much lol but overall, I’m glad I finished this book cause it was good! I love a good enemies to lovers trope. I would recommend reading it.

I don't understand why everyone raves about this book. The world building is minimal, no explanation of the magic system, the spicy times are pretty much closed door, and the FMC is for the most part, an idiot.
I couldn’t put this down.

Much more brutal than I expected, I was honestly cringing and feeling squeamish at some of the scenes toward the end of the book , the last 1/3 of the book was giving hunger games/game of thrones. the high fantasy political warfare vibes were there and I LOVED IT. A wonderful book to sink your faerie talons into.
