I felt this was a waste of time. It barely felt like the characters as played during the game, more like some checklist someone added pictures to that the author was trying to get through as fast as possible. I've felt the same about any of the other comics associated with Critical Role, honestly. And, I hated the cartoon, it basically have me mild ptsd over how needlessly stressful to watch it is. I'm not even kidding. So, bottom line, the only thing I care about with Critical Role are the game performances. Full stop.

I'm a huge fan of Critical Role and Vox Machina, so this was a necessary buy. And I loved it. Everything that makes Critical Role so special is here. The drama, action, magic, quirks, speaking mannerisms, and nods to the fans. I could pick at some of the plot and pacing if I really wanted to, but I'm not going to because this little story made me so happy. I adored it, and all Critters and D&D and fantasy fans should give it a shot!

I absolutely loved reading this again. I adore these characters and this world, and I am so glad that Dark Horse has decided to pick the series up for another run.

ORIGINS OF VOX MACGINA BITCHES ! YES !
I need the next one, to see Percy and Pike
And I am also slightly confused because I would have thought Pike and Grog would have been together but Grog was with Scanlan….hmmm
We’ll see in the next one

Such fun - I loved diving into the origins of the Vox Machina characters and they translate really well into graphic novel format!

I’m falling in love with this series all over again. I love being able to see the characters that I’ve so far only listened to in their usual podcast form. Can’t wait for the next books in the series.
