There were a lot of things I loved about this book, like Cameron, hello! However, Ashley was one of the most frustrating heroines I have ever read. All she does is whine about how hurt she is but she caused every single issue that arises. There wasn’t one “reason” she had for lying that was even a little bit logical. It drove me crazy! Cameron definitely made up for it, thankfully!

Paging Dr. Stanton...to my bedroom! GOOD FRICKIN LORD! This book is so seductive but when she pulls the rug out, your jaw drops. I couldn't get enough of this book!

You know, I haven’t read many secret child romances, but this did so well. I loved it. There was so much left at the end that I was confused. I was like, “Okay, the couple is happy and together but there’s still 2 hours left?” And when there wasn’t a last minute break up, I was so happy! I loved it all. I want to see more of them. I need more of them. My ovaries are crying. Please.

This is going down as my favourite read for 2021 so far...!

I have been on a TL Swan binge recently. I read The Stopover & The Takeover (loved them both), then was told to read her debut trilogy; Stanton series. I enjoyed the Stanton series, but didn't love it. What really stuck out in the Stanton series was the main hero's brother; Cameron. So I was more than excited to jump into this standalone about Dr Cameron Stanton.

Cam gives his time to his career as a heart surgeon and to his family in his freetime. When it comes to women, he doesn't have time to put in that relationship effort nor does he want to, until his run in with a mysterious woman on weekend in Vegas. Fast forward 5 years and this mysterious woman; Ashley, is suddenly one of his interns. He must know who she is, even if she acts like she does not want anything to do with him at first.

As he wiggles his way into her life and doesn't plan on letting her go, for the first time he finds himself committing to a woman; Ashley and ensuring all his time out of his job are spent with her. Only Ashley is hiding a life changing secret that she is withholding in the scare that Cam will leave her.

Once the secret is revealed, time then is needed to heal all wounds. But it is worth it. Their ending is sweet and yes, I did get teary. To see the character growth of Cam in this story is emotional. I loved every single part of it. Even if you haven't read the Stanton series, you must read this book!

5/5 stars with 4/5 steam.

Love Cameron. He was great in the Josh and Tash books so it’s great to get his story. I wondered if the Vegas girl that was dropped in those books had anything to do with this and I glad it was. A great story even if he was a douche at one point. Ashley is his perfect match.  Now onto the epilogue.

I loved (almost) everything about this book, the characters, the spice, it’s a good read.
What I didn’t love is that no one talks about how h is a single mom and how heavily it influences the plot. I can get over the single parent trope, not my favorite by far, but I can get over it - if other aspects make up for it. But, this manchild’s behavior about the kid was a real turn off for me. Only reason tbe book is not a dnf is because I wanted to see him grovel - which also turned out very unsatisfactory
This book would be a 5⭐️ read for me if not for the child

One of the best doctor romances I have ever read.

Seriously, one of the hottest book, with so much steam, drama, angst, mystery. I LOVE THIS BOOK.

Dr. Stanton is the ultimate dream book boyfriend.
