This book was literally everything I love for the first 30% or so. It escalated quickly and fell just as fast. Cameron’s actions were unforgivable, IMO. The conflict was about 150 pages too long and I think that’s my biggest problem with TL Swan’s books. They drag out way longer than they need to be That said, I’m starting the epilogue because I’m invested in these characters now.

One more thing - why the hell did we get Adrian’s POV? It was unnecessary and if he was more prominent in the book and not a true side character I’d have liked it more. Maybe I need to read the books in reading order to know him more but I probably won’t.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m not sure why i waited so long to read this! It was so good. TL Swan has a new fan in me. It was sexy and angsty with a alpha male. Totally my jam. It was a wild ride! Lots of give and take. I loved the chemistry and instant attraction. And the sexy scenes were on point!

This book & epilogue was pretty cute and I really enjoyed it.

The plot was very romcom. Couple meets by chance in Vegas, has a spicy steamy night together. They make plans to meet up again but something happens and they miss their chance. Five years later, they meet again by chance when she flies across the country for her medical residency and her new boss is her steamy hook up from Vegas.

The characters are well written, the plot is good, with small twists and turns and enough plot to keep it interesting. The spicy is super steamy and plentiful throughout the book.

I did find what Cameron did/almost did to be almost completely unforgivable. It literally made me cry and I hated it. I get the frustration and anger but all he was way too entitled, judge mental, and controlling. I was furious with him. And I still feel like he didn't apologize enough and too much blame was put on Ashley for the entire situation.

But all in all. This was a good book. I like it better than the Mr series, but the Miles high brothers still are my favorite.

I could not read this fast enough. This was the perfect amount of toxic and sweet to keep turning pages like it was an Olympic race. Though I am not a fan of pregnancy trope I do enjoy a good secret child trope and this book came through for me.

**I base reviews on how I feel. It would be hypocritical of m as someone who struggles with the difference between effect/affect to talk about someone's writing.

This book just didn’t do it for me. By about 50% i really couldn’t stand any of the characters except Owen (the kid)
The fmc was good at first but she was so weak and had no back bone the way the mmc treated her was disturbing and she just went back to him the man didn’t even grovel
