The first half was good for me, but then it got too messy and i didn't like it.
I wont rate it.
I think its unfair for me to rate it low just because im not in the mood for a dramatic realistic messy story.
if u want a realistic messy story... this is it my guy, give it a read.

I JUST REALIZED I WAS NOT ATTACHED TO ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.... THATS SADDER THAN ME NOT LIKING THIS BOOK

This book was so good! I read this book in one sitting and for a romance book it’s pretty chunky 485 pages. Which is how you know it’s good, once I started I couldn’t stop what a rollercoaster.
This has now solidified that I think TL Swan may be a new favourite author, can’t wait to keep working my way through her backlist.

*3.5 stars*
I really do enjoy TL Swan's book. This book was no exception, however, I didn't enjoy it as much as the Mr. Series, as you could tell this book was written before she really found her stride as an author. My big criticism, as I have read a few books now that have included french dialogue, is the author should really make sure it is reviewed by someone who speaks french as there was very little of it that was actually correct, so as someone who speaks french, it was incredibly painful to read and took away from the flow of the story.
I also liked that Cameron wasn't too far down the alpha-male spectrum. Some of the plot points didn't seen as well thought out or true to character, but for a raunchy romance it was just what the doctor ordered (couldn't help myself lol).
You don't need to read the Stanton series to read this book.

Dirty talk in German is bad enough but when the German isn't translated even remotely well, it just gets painful. Like...you're really gonna put your Google Translate results into your book?
Also, idk if it was just my kindle but all of the male POV way completely in bold and I just couldn't read 700 pages of that.

I rarely DNF books. I typically at least skim. This one just lost me. I didn’t like Cameron, at all.

slow-paced
There was steam, there was chemistry, but the main characters are quite annoying especially in the second half.
The first half is decent. The second half is not good. The extended epilogue makes things kinda better.
**SPOILER ALERT**
She doesn't tell him right away (once she sees him again) that they have a child from 5 years ago when they had a 1 night stand. She lies so people at work don't know she's a parent. Then she has to continue her lie. She also makes some very poor decisions in an annoying way.
He over reacts to everything and instead of talking things through he just gets angry and leaves. Then he takes things to the extreme after just 1 really bad week as a single parent for our heroine.
Her drink gets spiked and he thinks she's on drugs and overdosed, instead of believing her. She's at work and couldn't pick up her son on time from school. These 2 things happen in 1 week and he files to take temp custody of their child after having zero relationship with said child thus far and only knowing said child for like a week or 2?
