I really wanted to like this book. I loved the premise but Cameron was way too much of a jerk and not in your typical alpha male romance Hero. He went beyond that I didn't enjoy how he treated Ashley and Owen.
I loved the Dr. Stanton series! Really unique plot, lots of steam, a rollercoaster of emotions. I'll admit that I did cry during some parts. Highly recommend this series - you won't be disappointed.
Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5 (rounded up to 5).

The storyline would have been really good but I didn’t like how the MC responded to the love interest during the spicy scenes. I also did not like the BDSM scenes because they were written inaccurately and if someone were to do those scenes in real life could cause real harm.
*3.5 stars*
I really do enjoy TL Swan's book. This book was no exception, however, I didn't enjoy it as much as the Mr. Series, as you could tell this book was written before she really found her stride as an author. My big criticism, as I have read a few books now that have included french dialogue, is the author should really make sure it is reviewed by someone who speaks french as there was very little of it that was actually correct, so as someone who speaks french, it was incredibly painful to read and took away from the flow of the story.
I also liked that Cameron wasn't too far down the alpha-male spectrum. Some of the plot points didn't seen as well thought out or true to character, but for a raunchy romance it was just what the doctor ordered (couldn't help myself lol).
You don't need to read the Stanton series to read this book.

2.75?
This book was literally everything I love for the first 30% or so. It escalated quickly and fell just as fast. Cameron’s actions were unforgivable, IMO. The conflict was about 150 pages too long and I think that’s my biggest problem with TL Swan’s books. They drag out way longer than they need to be That said, I’m starting the epilogue because I’m invested in these characters now.
One more thing - why the hell did we get Adrian’s POV? It was unnecessary and if he was more prominent in the book and not a true side character I’d have liked it more. Maybe I need to read the books in reading order to know him more but I probably won’t.

Loved!
This book was a breath of alpha fresh air. I loved the dynamic between both characters, although at some points I was extremely angry at Cameron, I got over it. Read this book!

This was my first read by TL Swan and even though I wanted to rip my hair out, punch the hero in the face with a hammer, throw my kindle at the wall--I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Cameron succeeds at being an asshole. Yes, I said it. I hated the way he treated Ashley and I hated the way he went about things even though I could definitely see his side of things. There is just a way you handle things and I wish he just went about it differently. I do not think he groveled enough. Ash should have iced him out for more than 2 months in my opinion. UGH, just ugh!
I loved Ashley. She was so strong and independent. I love how she stood up for herself. I wish she told Cam sooner about her situation, but I understand why she did.
Together, they were definitely meant to be and they had a connection. That could not be denied.
The ending was a bit rushed so I give this read a 3.5.

Too long, the second half of the book really dragged. The spicy scenes were spicy, my only reason for the three stars. There was a lot of misunderstanding throughout the whole second half, which really gets on my nerves if it isn't warranted. Only skimmed the last 10% of the book because it was pretty much wrapped up and I was over their romance.
