4.5 stars If you love banter in your romances you HAVE to pick up Ms. Hunters books. Not many do it like they do. This is the first in a new series and I ate it up. Sports romance, little road-trip, friends to lovers, it's all here. Colin is not having the best of luck, so when he's almost run over by Harper of course he strikes up a friendship with her. This has everything I've come to expect from one of my comfort authors: texting, banter, hilarious side characters and just a smidge of cameos. Also Harper is a horror movie buff so it's on theme for the month! I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
This was such an awesome sports romance! I haven't read many good books that had hockey as a theme, but Teagan Hunter checks all the boxes with Collin & Harper's heart-warming romance!
Puck Shy was steamy, hilarious and a tad bit emotional, with a swoony af hockey star who needed a little luck and would, no doubt, have you falling, falling so hard and a spunky, quirky heroine who you just cannot not love.
It was beautiful.

Hidden identies, “haunted” roads, & the most amazing characters! Hunter surely did Collin & Harper's story justice.

Terrific start to a new series. I was immediately hooked and invested in the story. Loved how Collin and Harper met. The ride. The spooky films references. The gas station. So true. Sometimes gas stations have the best things. Have you been to a Buc-ee’s. Lol. Then along came being matched on the dating app. In come the texting conversations. The banter. The laughs. The slow fall. I loved the texting conversations. I smiled so much through this book. The sweet gesture from Collin. So many things I loved. I can’t wait to read more.

Puck Shy is the first book in the Carolina Comets series and I loved Collin and Harper’s romance from the first meet. I loved the banter between them and their love for horror. I loved seeing their cute, flirty friendship grow as they talked on the app as they were talking in secret. This was a fun rom com and a the start of an amazing series. Tim Paige and Callie Dalton narrate this book and they both gave great performances as Collin and Harper.
Teagan Hunter writes some of the best romcoms. Puck Shy definitely lived up to my expectations.
