I liked this one. Colin and Harper were good together. They were sweet and I liked their connection. They also had great chemistry. While I enjoyed this one, I also didn't love it. It wasn't memorable or different. Good, not great.

Colin's car breaks down on his way to Carolina. While he tries to walk back to an exit to get help, he's almost run over by a car. And this is how he meets Harper. She offers to give him a ride. So they drive and talk for a few hours but don't exchange any personal details. When they reach the destination, they part ways without exchanging numbers which they immediately regret.

They have no way to finding each other but that doesn't stop them from thinking of their time together. When Colin finds Harper on a dating app, he can't believe it and immediately starts talking to her. But what he doesn't tell her, is that he's a famous NHL player, and also the guy she almost ran over and then gave a ride home to.

This was a short sweet read. If you want a sports romance which is a quick and light read, this is it. Didn't get more information into Harper's mom and sister and their family dynamics. Didn't know if there was any conflict between Harper and her mom (given how the story began) and if it was resolved or cleared up. There wasn't any conversation between Colin and his family members either. Colin and Harper don't exactly share anything personal till the end. And every time they say they talked a lot... it was just that. It was said. Not shown.

I did like Rhodes and the friendship between the hockey players. Loved Ryan and Harper's friendship. Harper went a little overboard with the "I don't do sports and am too oblivious to anything sports related" at the start before she had ever even watched any.

An issue I had with the audiobook and not the story itself was that I didn't enjoy the male narrator's impression of the FMC in this book. It made me cringe a bit. It's so much better when the male and female narrators just do the male and female narration respectively.

Good read. I didn't love their Beemine chats but they weren't terrible.

I hated this. Every single issue or plot point (if you can even call it that) was resolved in about 5 pages. I heard the second book is better so I’ll give it a shot…

This one was a super, super quick read, and really cute. Harper and Collin had some adorable banter but I think I needed juuuust a little bit more chemistry from them in order for me to be a bit engrossed in the story. But I loved seeing the team dynamics from the Comets and I can't wait to more of them as the series progresses.

I LOVED IT. Hello my new favorite series! The banter, the steam, I love these characters so much and how everything comes together. I am now on a hockey romance streak thanks to this book and my favorite writer!
