This book was so fun that I read it in a day. I love messaging in books. Collin aka hockeyguy69 and horrorharper (Harper) have the most hilarious conversations on an online dating app. Their progression from strangers to online friends to lovers is full of interesting and entertaining moments. Collin’s friends and coach are a great part of the story. As is Ryan, Harper’s bestie. Great cast of characters, fun story, fantastic writing from Teagan as usual. Amazing start to a 7 for now book series that I’m buddy reading with a friend.

Puck Shy is the first book in the Carolina Comets series. This was a new-to-me author, and I am so glad I had the chance to discover her. The book was fast-paced, interesting, and easy to read.
Colin is an NHL hockey player whose contract is up for renewal with the Comets, and he is having a bad year. He needs to focus on his game so he can stay with his team. He does not need a relationship to distract him but finding Harley, the girl that almost ran him over, on a dating app must be destiny. Harley is an artist, has no interest in sports, and loves horror movies. She does not know the guy she has been chatting with on the dating app is Colin. She has issues trusting men after discovering her father had cheated on her mother. Can she trust Colin with her heart?
This was an entertaining book that was full of humor. It left me with a smile on my face. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next book.
