It’s a feelgood book, an easy rom-com. Is it the best one out there, no, but it is a light read that will make you smile.
This was a hilarious story. 8 enjoyed the start to this series. Highly recommended
I love a good sports romance and this one was beyond amazing. I laughed, I swooned, and laughed some more. Collin is having a bad string of luck since causing his hockey team to lose the final game of the championship. This bad luck leaves him stranded on the side of the road and this is how Harper is introduced. After almost killing Collin, they have an awkward conversation that leads to her helping him. A short road trip has them finding out about each clothes more so about Harper because Collin wants to keep his identity quiet yet they have so much in common minus the sports thing. I adored these characters because they are not your usual sports romance type. Collin isn’t a cocky player that thinks he is God’s gift to women, he is more laid back, humble and funny. Harper isn’t the typical female in romance she is funny, loves her horror movies, is artistic, strong, yet she is afraid to let herself fall in love. Their story is one that had me from the beginning and continued as I devoured every page. I loved getting to see more of Zach, Delia, and Shep as well as meeting new characters that I hope we get their stories too.
Puck Shy is the first book in the Carolina Comets series and I loved Collin and Harper’s romance from the first meet. I loved the banter between them and their love for horror. I loved seeing their cute, flirty friendship grow as they talked on the app as they were talking in secret. This was a fun rom com and a the start of an amazing series. Tim Paige and Callie Dalton narrate this book and they both gave great performances as Collin and Harper.

he falls first!
Colin Wright’s car breaks down on his drive home. He does the unthinkable and hitchhikes with Harper. Colin hides that he plays hockey from Harper. Afterwards, Colin is looking on a dating site and sees Harper’s bio. He messages her but keeps it secret that they have met.
I loved that the secrets didn’t last the whole book. It wasn’t miscommunication that lead to the drama which was really refreshing. Harper has to work through her past issues with relationships. Colin waits. And waits. Because he is simply a goner when it comes to Harper.

Cute simple romance, nothing too special or unique, saved the drama for near the end and resolved quickly.
