God, I hate third-act breakups. I can say the eventual groveling was pretty sweet and made me go, "aww~"

Otherwise, read Madita's review. She pretty summarized exactly how I felt.🐥💕

I read Blind Pass, instantly fell in love and jumped at the chance to ARC One-Timer. And I’ve continued to ARC the series ever since. And I have loved every single one! This one was no different! I’ve been falling in love with Collin and Harper from afar. I had the lucky chance to fall in love with them once they were a couple, so now it was time to properly suffer through the heartbreak I knew was coming. Everything that could go wrong for Collin, does. Starting with losing the Stanley Cup. He can’t seem to catch a break. And Harper was nearly another problem, but she’s the first good thing to happen to him in a long time. She was everything he needed and more. I am so in love with their easy conversation and friendly banter. I already had SUCH a crush on this man…but getting to spend time with THIS Collin? Oh man! They decide to do casual, but we all know how that goes! They admitted it was more than just sex almost instantly, so at least there’s that. Collin had to prove that he was worth it, and he did that over and over again. With no intentions of stopping. He may have initially made decisions to protect himself, but Harper…well, her self protection hurts so much worse. A pain Collin didn’t deserve, even if it wasn't on purpose or malicious. But I do understand her pain, her hesitation, her fear. After knowing their happily ever after, I’d say this was worth it. It was fun getting to spend time with my favorite team. Especially during moments that technically introduced them. Maybe it made reading this more special? It sure felt that way!

My Favorite Quotes:
• “If the man you’re 69-ing with doesn’t want to be suffocated, you’re with the wrong man.”
• “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you who I am. But if you’ll let me, I’ll show you instead.”
• “I promise not to bite. Well, that’s not true. I’ll nip at you, but not in places anyone else can see.”
• “I want to earn your kisses, not take them from you.”
• “You’re you…and that’s exactly why I like you.”
• “I assure you, I am not untouchable. You can touch me any time you want.”
• “First it’ll be hard and fast. Then it’ll be soft and slow. And after that, I won’t be done with you. I’ll want more.”
• “You’re a beautiful woman. But you’re even more stunning after I’ve marked you.”
• “I’m just sure I’m going to love you forever.”

This is my first Teagan Hunter novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was easy to read and hard to put down.
Right from the start the banter between Harper and Collin was brilliant; their sense of humour, sarcasm and occasional blunt honesty helped create the chemistry between them.
I fell in love with Collin. I was swooning over the way he interacted with fans, his relationship with his doorman Beau, walking shelter dogs in his spare time. It was lovely to have a professional athlete hero that wasn't all about the fame; someone who had a kind and giving heart.
Harper's quirkiness was so much fun - from her small business to her tendency to think out loud.
While sometimes I held my breath waiting for the other puck to drop during their evolving relationship, this is a fun low angst read.
I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first book by Teagan and definitely not my last! I'm such a sucker for a good hockey romance and was craving one that was set in the professional setting vs. college. This one delivered! I love dual POV books and also a reformed playboy and this checked those boxes! Harper and Collin's meet-cute was so different and interesting and I loved that Teagan wrote Harper as a woman who was fiercely herself and didn't take anyone's criticism

Another fun rom-com with low angst from Hunter.

3.5 ⭐️ what can I say, the playoffs are on so I’m in my hockey romance era. Quick easy read, good characters, decent storyline. All in all- a fun time.
